BA (Hons) Business Management (Top-Up)
This one-year, full-time Business Management top-up degree is for students with relevant Level 5 business study, such as an HND in Business. It leads to a BA (Hons) qualification. About this course
This one-year full-time top-up degree is designed for students who have already completed Level 5 business study and want to progress to a BA (Hons) qualification. It brings together the practical and strategic aspects of managing a business, including operations, finance, marketing, sales, supply chains and people.
You will consider how organisations respond to change through business transformation, innovation and international management. The course also examines the responsibilities involved in business decision-making, with study of corporate governance, law and ethics.
A business simulation gives you the opportunity to consider connected management decisions across finances, people, product development, operations and supply chain management. Independent study and research and data analysis develop your ability to investigate a business issue, evaluate evidence and communicate a reasoned response.

Assessment
Assessment may include individual reports, case study analyses, group presentations and independent assignments. You may also complete practical formats such as podcasts, videos, infographics, consultancy reports, marketing campaigns, posters, interviews and debate sessions.
Entry requirements
You need an HND in Business or an equivalent qualification. Your previous learning must cover Level 5 functional business areas, including finance, marketing, operations management and human resource management.
English language requirements
IELTS 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5; TOEFL iBT 60–78; or an equivalent English-language qualification. Evidence of previous study in English may also be accepted, including a letter confirming English as the medium of instruction.
If you require a UK visa, you will need IELTS 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5, or an equivalent Secure English Language Test (SELT) result.

This course may support progression into roles such as business analyst, project manager, data analyst, people manager, digital marketing specialist or digital transformation specialist.
