About this course
This four-year flexible BA (Hons) degree includes a foundation year designed to build the academic, research, communication and digital skills needed for undergraduate business study. You will begin by exploring business and management, entrepreneurship, workplace wellbeing, and economics and politics in a global context.
As you progress, the course develops your understanding of how organisations operate across international markets. You will examine management, marketing, accounting, finance, organisational behaviour, information systems and business intelligence. The course also considers strategic and project management, digital marketing and social media, and entrepreneurship in a global context.
In the later stages, you will use quantitative and qualitative research methods to investigate a business issue and complete a dissertation. This can help you develop the analytical, written and practical skills used in business, commercial and management settings.
What you will study
The foundation year covers academic literacy, academic research and writing, communication and digital literacy, business and management, entrepreneurship, workplace wellbeing, and economics and politics in a global context.
Degree-level modules include Understanding the Economic Environment, Principles of Management, Data Skills for Business Decision Making, Marketing Fundamentals, Introduction to Business Accounting, International Business, Information Systems and Business Intelligence, Organisational Behaviour in a Global Context, Management Accounting, Research Methods, International Strategic Management and Project Management.
You will also study digital marketing and social media for global markets, develop an entrepreneurial small business venture, explore contemporary issues in global business management, apply entrepreneurship in a global context, and complete a dissertation.

Assessment
Assessment is through coursework, including reports, essays, case studies, portfolios, presentations and group work. You will also complete a dissertation in the final stage of the course.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
Standard entry requires a Level 3 qualification equivalent to 80 UCAS tariff points, plus five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent.
You will also take part in an interview assessment covering listening, speaking, numeracy and writing. A panel interview and supervised personal reflection statement are required.
If you are aged 21 or over and do not meet the standard academic requirements, you may be considered based on your willingness and commitment, alongside evidence of relevant academic, professional or vocational experience.

This course may support progression into assistant or junior management roles, operations and business support positions, marketing and digital roles, business and data analysis roles, and commercial or finance-related positions.
