This full-time BA (Hons) Health and Social Care degree explores health, care, welfare and human services through social, policy and practical perspectives. About this course
This degree examines how health, care and welfare services are organised, delivered and experienced. It considers the social factors that shape health and wellbeing, including gender, age, ethnicity, disability, mental health and migration.
You will explore public health, social policy and the legal and organisational contexts of human services. The course also considers how different agencies work together when supporting individuals, families and communities.
As the course progresses, you will use social research approaches to investigate issues in health and social care and complete an independent project in a subject area of your choice. This may suit adults returning to education who want to develop a broader understanding of care systems, policy and professional practice.
