About this course
This four-year full-time Business and Marketing degree includes a foundation year designed to help students prepare for undergraduate-level study. It combines core business knowledge with marketing theory and practice, covering how organisations operate, how customers make decisions and how marketing activity can support commercial objectives.
You will explore business principles, finance, economics, the business environment, human resource management and legal aspects of business. Marketing study develops from principles and practice through to marketing communications, consumer behaviour, digital marketing and business strategy.
The course also develops communication, data, research and professional development skills. You will use customer insight and data-driven information to support strategic decision-making, consider customer engagement, and complete an undergraduate major project.

Degree-level modules include Business Finance, Economics for Business, Business Environment, Managing Human Resources, Principles and Practice of Marketing, and Legal Aspects of Business.
Marketing-focused study covers Marketing Communications, Consumer Behaviour, Business Strategy and Digital Marketing. The course concludes with an Undergraduate Major Project.

Assessment
Assessment methods include written and practical examinations, coursework, in-class tests, assignments, presentations, projects, essays, reports, portfolios and an undergraduate major project.
Entry requirements
Foundation Year entry requires 48 points.
For standard entry to the three-year degree, 104 points are required. Any Level 3 subjects are accepted. Applicants also need five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
English language requirements
Applicants applying with International or EU qualifications need IELTS 6.0 overall, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 5.5 in each band.
