BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing and Management

This full-time BSc (Hons) degree is available over three years, or over four years with a foundation year. It combines digital marketing with business management. You will explore branding, market research, consumer behaviour, digital communications, social media, content marketing, campaign planning and marketing data. The course also covers business finance, sustainability, human resources and strategy.

About this course

Digital marketing combines marketing knowledge with an understanding of online audiences, channels, data and regulation. This degree covers the strategic and practical aspects of planning marketing activity, managing brands and communicating with customers through digital and social media.

Alongside marketing, you will study core business areas including finance, human resource management, sustainability and business strategy. You will consider consumer behaviour and market research, then apply this understanding to digital campaigns, content marketing and customer relationship management.

The course includes digital skills development and a major project focused on leadership in practice. It may suit adults returning to study who want to build a structured understanding of marketing while developing skills for digital business and communications work.

Assessment

Assessment includes presentations, assignments, essays, briefing documents and written management reports. You may also complete company report analyses, case studies, simulations, projects and a digital marketing campaign.

Entry requirements

For the three-year full-time option, you need 96 UCAS Tariff points from three A levels, such as BCC. Other accepted routes include the Irish Leaving Certificate at BBCCC, Scottish Highers at BBCCC, a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at DMM in a business-related subject, or the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 24 points.

A university foundation course recognised by Anglia Ruskin University may also be accepted. Applicants also need at least three GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths.

For the four-year option with foundation year, you need five GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English and Maths, plus evidence of two years of post-GCSE Level 3 study. At least grade E in one A level, or an equivalent qualification, removes the requirement for two years of post-GCSE Level 3 study, but the GCSE requirements still apply.

International undergraduate applicants may apply with GCE A levels from a recognised UK examination board, the International Baccalaureate with at least 24 points, or a university foundation course recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.

English language requirements

IELTS Academic 6.0, or an equivalent English language qualification recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.

This course may support progression into roles such as Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Account Manager, Digital and Social Media Executive, Digital Marketing Analyst, Campaign Manager, Content Marketing Executive, Social Media Manager, Pay Per Click Analyst or SEO Executive. It may also be relevant to online marketing, e-commerce marketing and digital communications roles.
