BSc (Hons) International Business Management with Foundation Year
This full-time International Business Management degree explores how businesses work across international markets. It covers business finance, marketing, human resources, technology, operations and strategy, alongside globalisation, sustainability and ethical practice. It may suit students who want a broad business qualification with a focus on cross-border organisations and intercultural working. A four-year route with a foundation year is available alongside the three-year degree route.
About this course
This International Business Management degree examines how organisations operate across borders, respond to globalisation and make decisions in changing economic, technological and cultural environments. It combines core business knowledge with an international perspective, including sustainability, ethics, social responsibility and cross-cultural communication.
You will develop understanding of finance, marketing, human resources, operations, business technology and strategy. The course also considers the practical challenges of cross-border business, helping you build analytical, communication and decision-making skills relevant to international organisations.
The course is available as a three-year full-time degree or a four-year full-time route with a foundation year. The foundation year is designed to build academic, digital, personal and professional skills before progressing to degree-level business study.
What you will study
Foundation-year study includes Academic and Study Skills, Data and Digital Skills, Personal and Professional Development Skills, Foundations of Business Management, and Sustainable Business in the Contemporary Environment.
At degree level, you will study Academic and Professional Skills, Economics for Business, Business Finance, Legal Aspects of Business, Managing Human Resources, Principles and Practice of Marketing, and Business Technology.
Later study covers Sustainability in Career Development, Critical Perspectives on Cross-Border Business, Managing Business Operations and Executing Business Strategy. You will complete an Undergraduate Major Project focused on Leadership in Practice.

Assessment
Assessment includes written examinations, coursework, assignments, presentations, reports, negotiation activities and an undergraduate major project.
Entry requirements
Typical entry requirements include 96 UCAS Tariff points from three A levels, such as BCC; an Irish Leaving Certificate at BBCCC; Scottish Highers at BBCCC; a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at DMM in a business-related subject; or an International Baccalaureate Diploma with 24 points.
You will also need at least three GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths.
International applicants may be considered with GCE A levels from a recognised UK examination board, an International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 24 points, a university foundation course recognised by Anglia Ruskin University, or relevant qualifications from their home country.
English language requirements
IELTS 6.0 at Academic level, or an equivalent English language qualification recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
