About this course
This four-year BSc (Hons) includes a foundation year designed to help you prepare for degree-level study. You will build academic skills alongside an introduction to project management, professional behaviour, career planning and leadership.
As the course progresses, you will study how projects are planned, controlled, resourced and evaluated. Topics include financial management for projects, organisational behaviour, digital tools, quality assurance, procurement, risk management and strategic management. You will also consider project management in global settings and the management of innovation and change.
The course develops practical and analytical skills for working with project data, making decisions, managing teams and communicating with stakeholders. A research-focused element allows you to investigate a project management subject in more depth.
What you will study
The foundation year covers academic integrity, assessment, study strategies, academic development, personal development, career exploration, job-search techniques and professional behaviour. You will also study the fundamentals of project management and leadership in project management.
Degree-level study includes business and management principles, organisational behaviour, ethics and social justice, financial management for projects, digital skills, professional skills and teamwork, people and performance, and professional development.
Later topics include project planning and control; project quality assurance and compliance; project resources and procurement management; research in project management; global project management; project management for innovation and change; risk management in projects; and strategic management in projects.

Assessment
Assessment includes coursework, essays, reports, presentations, projects, group debates and real-life simulations.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and hold a Level 3 qualification equivalent to 60 credits or 80 UCAS Tariff points.
Applicants aged 21 or over who do not meet the standard entry requirements may still apply if they can demonstrate willingness and commitment to study, and provide evidence of relevant academic, professional or vocational experience.
English language requirements
You will need English language ability equivalent to GCSE English grade 4/C or CEFR B1. If you do not hold the stated English qualification, you may be able to take an English test at a campus.
