BSc (Hons) Public Health and Business Management (Top-up) – Level 5 Entry
This two-year, full-time BSc (Hons) top-up course is designed for students entering at Level 5 with appropriate prior Level 4 study. About this course
This Level 5 entry top-up degree combines public health with business management. It explores how health can be promoted across populations while considering the leadership, financial, strategic and collaborative practices involved in health-related organisations.
You will examine lifestyle and health improvement, positive mental health, health inequalities across the life-course, and health and lifestyle epidemiology. The course also develops research skills, including evidence-based enquiry, data handling and interpretation, and an independent dissertation.
Management-focused study includes project management, financial management, strategic management and leadership. Legal, moral and ethical responsibilities in health leadership are considered alongside collaborative practice and working in health settings.

Entry requirements
For Level 5 top-up entry, you need 120 appropriate Level 4 credits, such as a Cert HE in Public Health.
External applicants must also meet Canterbury Christ Church University’s standard entry requirements.
Non-standard entry may be considered where there is substantial relevant work experience, evidence of the ability to pass examinations, an independent employment reference and the required English language ability.
English language requirements
English language ability at CEFR Level B2 is required for entry at Level 4 or above, evidenced through an independent external examination.
