CertHE Business Studies – Level 4 Entry
This one-year, full-time CertHE Business Studies course is designed for students entering at Level 4. About this course
This CertHE Business Studies course provides a Level 4 introduction to how organisations operate, compete and make decisions. It covers the purpose and objectives of business organisations, their core functions, and the internal and external factors that influence performance.
You will consider the contemporary business environment in a global context, including environmental analysis, ethical and legal responsibilities, organisational behaviour and leadership. The course also introduces marketing principles, modern business practices and the use of digital and intelligent technologies.
Alongside business knowledge, the course develops academic, communication, presentation and employability skills. Work-related learning is included to help you connect business concepts with workplace practice.

Entry requirements
Standard entry requires 112 UCAS Tariff points for the CertHE leading to BA (Hons) Business Studies.
All applicants are assessed through an interview, which considers listening, speaking and reading, and a personal statement, which considers writing.
Non-standard applicants may be considered where they can demonstrate substantial relevant work experience, the ability to pass examinations, an independent employment reference and appropriate English language assurance.
English language requirements
If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate English at CEFR Level B1. For non-standard entry at Level 4 or above, a reasonable command of English at CEFR Level B2, demonstrated through an independent external examination, is required.
