DipHE Health and Care Management
This flexible online DipHE Health and Care Management is designed to build knowledge of management and leadership across health and social care services. Over two years or more of part-time study, you will cover service-user needs, collaborative working, safeguarding, finance, regulation, digital health and evidence-based practice. It may suit people seeking to develop management-focused knowledge for health or care settings.
About this course
This Diploma of Higher Education explores how health and care services are managed, planned and improved. It considers the needs of service users alongside the organisational, financial, regulatory and collaborative requirements of delivering care.
You will develop an understanding of leadership in health and care settings, including compassionate leadership, digital health leadership and leadership theory. The course also examines multidisciplinary working, communication between professionals, resource planning and the role of evidence in decision-making.
Alongside management skills, you will study health promotion, safeguarding, health and care finance, and independent regulation in the UK. The flexible online study option may suit adults balancing study with employment, caring responsibilities or other commitments.

Assessment
Assessment is through a range of written and practical formats, including essays, presentations, academic posters, reports, case studies and podcasts.
Entry requirements
Applicants normally need passes in two GCE A Level subjects, or equivalent qualifications, plus GCSE passes at grade C or above in three subjects, or equivalent.
Applications may also be considered from people who cannot meet the academic requirements but can demonstrate significant skills and responsibility in a health and/or care role.
English language requirements
IELTS 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5; TOEFL iBT 80; or an equivalent qualification.
Careers
This course may support progression into health service management, social care management and Registered Manager roles. It may also be relevant to work in health promotion and education, public health initiatives, the NHS, social care, private healthcare, and voluntary or not-for-profit organisations.
