LLB (Hons) International Law Top-up
This one-year full-time LLB (Hons) International Law top-up builds on prior Level 5 study in law. It may suit students seeking to deepen their understanding of international legal issues, including commercial, public, criminal and EU law, while completing an honours degree.
About this course
This one-year full-time LLB (Hons) top-up is designed for students who already hold a relevant Level 5 law qualification and want to complete an honours degree with an international law focus.
The course examines legal issues that arise across borders, including international trade, relations between states, criminal accountability and EU law. You will also consider intellectual property, equity and trusts, and the relationship between law and society.
Alongside subject knowledge, you will develop legal research, critical thinking, academic writing and problem-solving skills. Legal technology is included to help you consider how technology is used within legal work and legal services.

You will study International Commercial Law, Public International Law, International Criminal Law and EU Law.
Additional areas include Legal Technology, Intellectual Property Law, Law and Society, and Equity and Trusts. The course also develops legal research, critical thinking, academic writing and problem-solving skills.
