LLB (Hons) Law with Business
This full-time LLB (Hons) Law with Business combines core legal study with business subjects. The standard route takes three years, with a four-year foundation option available. It covers areas including contract, criminal, land and tort law alongside business law, corporate governance, consumer behaviour and digital marketing. It may suit adults returning to study who are interested in legal careers or legal and commercial roles in organisations.
About this course
This LLB (Hons) Law with Business course combines the main areas of English and Welsh law with business-focused study. You will develop an understanding of how legal rules are made, interpreted and applied, while considering the legal and commercial issues that affect organisations.
The law element covers legal method, public and EU law, contract, criminal law, land law, tort, equity and trusts. You will build skills in legal research, referencing, forming legal arguments and solving legal problems. Later study includes current legal issues, law in a global context, digital legal practice and work through a student law clinic.
The business element examines business law, corporate governance and social responsibility, consumer psychology, international human resource management, and marketing and sales in a digital world. This may suit students who want to understand both legal practice and the commercial settings in which legal decisions are made.
The standard full-time route lasts three years. A four-year full-time route is also available with an initial foundation year for students who need preparation before starting degree-level law study.

Assessment
Assessment methods include exams, essays, project reports, portfolios, oral presentations and mock assessments.
Entry requirements
For the three-year degree route, applicants need one of the following: A levels at BBB; a BTEC at DDM; or 120 UCAS Tariff points.
GCSE English Language at grade 4/C or above, or an equivalent qualification, is also required.
Entry requirements for the four-year foundation route differ from those above.
Careers
The course may support progression towards legal careers such as solicitor or barrister, subject to any further professional training and regulatory requirements. It may also be relevant to roles in the legal, finance, banking, marketing or human resources sectors.
