This LLM examines how corporate governance operates in practice, with a focus on company compliance, regulatory requirements, risk management and internal control. You will consider the role of boards of directors and leadership, alongside disclosure duties and the systems used to manage governance risks.
The course also develops research skills through research methods training and a substantial dissertation in corporate governance. Legal technology and the key principles of the English legal system form part of the wider subject context.

Assessment
Assessment includes a three-hour unseen written examination, a 4,500-word coursework assignment and a 15,000-word thesis.

A minimum second-class honours degree is required.
