LLM International Corporate Governance
This LLM focuses on the legal and practical frameworks used to govern international corporations. It covers governance models, regulation, codes and the people and bodies involved in corporate decision-making. You will also build legal research skills, consider legal technology and complete a dissertation on an international corporate governance topic.
About this course
This LLM examines how international corporations are governed through legal rules, policies, controls and governance codes. You will consider the models and theories that shape corporate governance, including path dependence and convergence, and examine the roles played by different governance actors.
The course also considers regulation, the harmonisation of corporate governance codes and possible directions for global corporate governance. Alongside specialist legal study, you will develop research skills, explore legal technology and undertake independent dissertation research in international corporate governance.
It may suit law graduates and professionals who want to develop a focused understanding of corporate governance in an international context.
