LLM International Law

This LLM is for graduates who want to build advanced knowledge of international legal frameworks and specialist areas of international law. It may suit those seeking to develop focused research skills through a dissertation while studying full-time over 12 months or part-time over 24 months.

About this course

This LLM develops knowledge of legal issues that cross national borders, with study of public international law alongside specialist areas including arbitration, corporate governance, criminal law, human rights and trade.

You will undertake research methods training and complete a dissertation in an international law specialisation of your choice. The course also covers legal technology and key principles of the English legal system, supporting the development of legal research, analysis and academic writing skills.

The course is available full-time over 12 months or part-time over 24 months.

Assessment

Assessment includes written examinations, coursework assignments and a thesis in the form of a dissertation.

Entry requirements

A minimum second-class honours degree is required.
