About this course

This MSc Global Business explores how organisations operate and make decisions across international markets and multicultural business settings. It is designed to develop commercial awareness alongside practical management skills for working with global environments and organisations.

You will consider tactical and strategic decision-making, leadership, change management and the challenges of managing business activity across borders. The course also examines digital marketing and branding, global entrepreneurship and innovation, and global supply chain management.

A research project provides an opportunity to investigate a business topic in depth, using research methods to develop and present a structured piece of independent work.

Assessment

Assessment may include coursework, essays, reports, real-life simulations, presentations, projects, group debates, case study analysis, poster presentations, video podcasts and a research project.

Entry requirements

Applicants with a degree, or equivalent qualification, awarded within the last five years in the UK or a majority English language-speaking country, or applicants who are nationals of a majority English language-speaking country, require a 2:2 degree classification, a 500-word personal statement and an on-campus admissions interview.

Applicants with a degree awarded within the last five years outside the UK or a majority English language-speaking country require a 2:2 degree classification, a 300-word personal statement, English language CEFR Level B2, a 1,000-word reflective task, an on-campus admissions interview and completion of the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) process.

Applicants without a degree, or whose degree is more than five years old, should contact the admissions team to discuss their entry requirements.

English language requirements

English language CEFR Level B2 is required for applicants whose degree was awarded within the last five years outside the UK or a majority English language-speaking country.

This course may support progression into corporate management, strategic or leadership roles in multinational corporations and international organisations. Other possible areas include business development, marketing and media, media planning, brand strategy, financial control and entrepreneurship.
