This MSc explores the relationship between leadership, people management and organisational performance. It may suit professionals seeking to develop knowledge of strategic HRM and leadership practice. You will study employee relations, coaching and mentoring, organisational development, business strategy and ethical decision-making.

About this course

This MSc combines leadership development with strategic human resource management. It considers how organisations develop people, manage employee relations and respond to business, ethical and digital change.

You will examine global business strategy, international HRM, organisational leadership and innovation management in a digital age. The course also addresses strategic HRM, organisational development, directors’ responsibilities and business ethics.

A focus on coaching, mentoring and leadership mindset supports the development of practical people-management skills. Business simulation and contemporary business issues provide opportunities to apply learning to organisational scenarios.

Full-time study is available over one year, including an online option. Part-time study is available over two years. A two-year full-time business master’s route with Professional Practice is also available.

Assessment

Assessment is through individual assignments, group work, and dissertation or project work.

Entry requirements

Applicants need a UK bachelor’s degree with a 2:2 classification or above, or an equivalent qualification.
