This one-year blended MSc Project Management is also available online with a duration of one year or more. It covers traditional and agile project management, project analytics, big data, leadership, cloud-based solutions and business transformation. About this course

This MSc Project Management examines how projects are planned, led, analysed and delivered in organisations adapting to digital change. It combines established project management approaches with agile methods, project analytics and the use of big data.

You will consider the practical management of teams, leadership capability, cloud-based business solutions and customer and user experience. Supply chain management is also included, helping you understand how projects operate across wider organisational systems.

The course concludes with a Business Transformation Project, bringing together project planning, analysis and leadership in a substantial applied piece of work. It may suit professionals seeking to develop their project management knowledge or move towards project, programme or transformation-focused responsibilities.

Assessment

Assessment includes reflective analysis, portfolio development, work-based products, narrated presentations, case study reports, risk assessments and proposals for agile implementation. You will also complete a digital business transformation project and an independent study assessment.

Entry requirements

A UK honours degree at a minimum of second-class (2:2) level, or an equivalent qualification, is required.

For applicants returning to study after time in the workplace, five years' experience managing people or projects is recommended.

English language requirements

For online learning, applicants need IELTS 6.5 overall, with no element below 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 90, or an equivalent qualification.

For blended learning, applicants need IELTS 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 60–78, or an equivalent qualification.

Evidence of previous study in English may be accepted, including a letter confirming English as the medium of instruction. Applicants who need a Secure English Language Test must meet the stated IELTS 6.0 requirement, with no element below 5.5, or provide an equivalent SELT result.
