SQE1 Preparation Course
This SQE1 Preparation Course helps learners prepare for the SQE1 Functioning Legal Knowledge assessments. It may suit law graduates and others planning to take SQE1 as part of the solicitor qualification route. You will study FLK1 and FLK2, covering practice-based legal subjects alongside ethics, professional conduct and core areas of English and Welsh law. Full-time and part-time study options are available, with courses lasting from 14 to 46 weeks.
About this course
This SQE1 Preparation Course is designed to help learners prepare for the Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK) assessments in SQE1. It covers the legal knowledge and professional conduct expected across key areas of solicitors’ practice.
Study is organised around Functioning Legal Knowledge 1 (FLK1) and Functioning Legal Knowledge 2 (FLK2). Topics include business law and practice, dispute resolution, property practice, wills and the administration of estates, solicitors accounts, criminal practice, contract and tort. You will also cover legal services, ethics and professional conduct, and core areas of English and Welsh law, including the legal system, constitutional and administrative law, land law, trusts and criminal law.
The course is available full-time or part-time, with study durations ranging from 14 to 46 weeks. Regular revision tests, multiple-choice practice and mock assessments are used to help you practise working with SQE1-style questions.
