This SQE2 Preparation Course focuses on the practical legal skills assessed in the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE2). It is designed for learners who are preparing to demonstrate how they apply legal knowledge in realistic professional tasks.

You will develop skills in client interviewing, advocacy and persuasive oral communication, case and matter analysis, practical legal research, legal writing and legal drafting. These skills are considered across the relevant areas of Functioning Legal Knowledge, including criminal practice, dispute resolution, property practice, wills and intestacy, probate administration and practice, and business organisations, rules and procedures.

Study is available full-time, part-time or online, offering different ways to prepare for the SQE2 assessments.

Entry requirements

There are no stated entry requirements for this course.

However, to qualify as a solicitor, the Solicitors Regulation Authority requires you to hold a degree or equivalent qualification and to have passed SQE1 before attempting SQE2.
