It covers core areas of US law, including torts, contracts, criminal law, property, civil procedure, evidence and constitutional law, alongside legal analysis and communication skills.

This online, part-time course is designed for learners preparing to study US law in the context of the New York and California Bar examinations. It covers core areas of US state law alongside legal analysis and legal communication skills.
You will study major substantive and procedural subjects, including torts, contracts, criminal law, real property, civil procedure, evidence and constitutional law. The course also addresses areas that may be tested in Bar preparation, such as professional responsibility, remedies, trusts and succession, and business-related legal topics.
The course involves approximately 500 hours of study in total. At around 10 hours a week, this equates to roughly 50 weeks of part-time online study.

Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course. However, separate eligibility requirements apply to sit the Bar Exam.
